TEDxLeicester (2019)

Animation

In mid-2019 I responded to an Artist Call by TEDxLeicester for their Fast Forward series of talks, which was to take place late that year. I subsequently met the team, and was chosen to generate some moving image for their event. TEDxLeicester Fast Forward was to be about how we, as humans, could process our past and present to prepare us for an unknown future.

For my animation piece, I used audio from an interview with one of my former design teachers, Clive Wilkins, and music by the musician Ommetis. I took scans from several old books from the UAL library, and, in the spirit of the Fast Forward event, collaged them into new, individual frames on Adobe Photoshop. I then turned these individual digital collages into an animation using Adobe Premiere Pro.
